1/50 Titanic model by Remco Hillen

"I bought this model a couple of years ago, and about 2 years ago I wanted to get it better.(not the result of THE movie) So, that was not an easy job.... The model includes some strange things(railings(?), stairway covers at the prom. deck)and some things aren't included(Lifeboats 1&2 if I'm correct). Also a small rigging plan and, correct me if I'm wrong, an color plan with isn't correct. First I started to raise the "line" black-white up, it was to low at my model first, then I put on the yellow stripe, the waterline(red-black) was also made better. Then the bases of the funnels were made grey, and I changed the skylight-domes and painted the wing-cabs grey and added the Morse-lamps. I also added some small skylights and painted the winches black(2 dark-green), added the welldeck-red and made the benches brown. My extra lifeboats 1&2 and there davits are from the German battleship "Tirpitz". Then the rigging.... It was white.....(WHY did I do that then?!?) Result: white rigging.:-( Humm...I couldn't paint them dark-grey, they were to fragile. Studing the plans and photo's I added a lot of rigging. I also did the painters wires to show that they were there. My rigging isn't good visible at the photo's, I also made pictures with a black background but they weren't good. If there are questions or comments, you can e-mail me."
