How much should I expect to pay to make a good quality model?
$70 for a full set of Gold medal Model details. $70 for the model, and about $20-30 for extramaterials

There are a few people who have sent me photos of their scratchbuilt model. You can see them here. If you have any questions on this subject, your best bet is to post to the message board.

Whats with this new 1/400 scale kit? Will there be a 1/350 scale anymore?
Yes, there will always be a 1/350 scale kit. The 1/400 comes from the Academy kit company(wich is based in Korea). Minicraft and Academy broke up earlier this year.

What's the length, height, and width of the model?
Length - @31", Height - @9", Width - @3.5"

How much does it cost?
It will cost about $60-70

What color of paints will I need?
You will need black, white, rust red, white star buff, yellow, and tan or light brown.

In what form does the hull come in?
Unlike most ship models, this hull comes in one whole piece.

What color do most of the pieces come in?
Most of the deck pieces come in a light brown color(but not all of them). The hull comes in black. Most of the walls come in white or light brown that needs to be painted white.

How long will it take on the average to finish this kit
About 4 weeks at average

Well, that should cover it for now. If you don't see your answer here, the message boards are a good place to start, there's six(6) of them. They contain almost 2,000 single messages all together. Take a look at the Board Archive. The page is currently on its 6th board. If its photos your looking for, this page has plenty. To view them, go back to the home page and click on the button labeled 'Titanic built by others'. If you have photos of your model you would like to put on this page, you can e-mail me the photos or I can give you my snail mail address so I can scan the photos. I hope I've covered everything. If after you have searched through the page and still have not found the answer, the best thing to to do is to post a message with your question to the message board. You will probably get a much faster reply, plus there are some very good people that regular the board that know much more than I do about the actual ship.
