Photo of the Week Intro
Welcome to our new section. In this new part, we hope to showcase some photos you may not have seen before, or at least not that often. The photos will range from Titanic, Olympic and other well known liners. In some cases, we hope to show the more human side of ocean liners. People playing games on deck or using the strange new gym equipment that most people had never seen before. And in some cases, we will show a more technical side of the ships. We encourage everyone to join us each week to see what we've found in our own personal archives.
The difference between this section and our photoarchives is that the photos posted here will only be up for a week. We will then take them down on a permanent basis. Due to some of the these photo here being on loan or just too rare, we can not keep them up all the time. Some of the photos we will be posting are public domain photos, and some are copyrighted to their perspective owners. We will note this on each photo as they come up. So sit back and enjoy this show.
Although we would like to keep this section updated as much as possible, please remember that this site is updated by only one person. From time to time, we may not be able to get the new photo up on time, but we will do our best to keep it up. Due to the limitations of our own archives, this section may be discontinued at any time, but we don't see this happening in the near future. Please feel free to ask any questions about the photos you see here on the main forum.
The new photos will be posted every week, between Saturday and Sundays.
