The eighth photo is of the completed model as presented for the chocolate festival contest, on collision course for the iceberg lettuce (sorry!). The final photo shows the other, open end of the model, loaded with brownies in a foil- and parchment-lined box that can be slid out of the ship's interior. Two clips held this end of the model to the baseboard, while the bow was held down by a short woodscrew driven up through the baseboard. The iceberg lettuce was not attached. "The Unsinkable Marbled Brownies" did win the brownie category of the contest and were later sold in the auction for $300. The Titanic model was last seen at the end of the evening, being pushed around the floor of the lobby at high speed by the buyer's two excited young children. Like the real ship, the model may not have survived its maiden voyage, but at least it was enjoyed.
