I have been wanting to combine a couple of technologies here for some time. As a professional videographer I have used the Amiga computer since 1988. Toaster Paint is the program used to combine my 1/350 Titanic and real natural elements. This paint program, bundled into the Video Toaster also contains Lightwave 3-D which was used extensively in the 'movie' for very realistic effects. I tried to replicate a couple of the old photographs as most of you will notice. My favorite is the one of the ship in the distance which closely matches the 'last photograph ever taken of her' as she was leaving Ireland. A video camera was used for these shots. From a photographic standpoint, I wanted to overcome the shallow depth of field ( small area in focus) that is commonplace in the usual model shots. The best two ways I know is to use more light and shoot wide angle. Anyway, It ain't perfect but it was fun. I would like to do a night shot so, stay tuned.

Jesse Shelton.

The outside shots were taken with a Sony digital camera.
