| I built this model over a
period of six months for someone to give to their son. No doubt it will soon be broken in
half and sunk to the bottom of the bathtub! This was the third 1/350 1 have built during
my scale modeling life. The first was one that was also built "out of the box"
and the second was built with GMM sets and about a hundred modifications. But as new
information and knowledge of the ship came about, it came to a standstill. These photos
show the model nearly complete. It still requires forward ratlines, decals and the like.
My main goal, however was to get it done as quickly as possible! My next goal is a 1/350
using all the modeling guides, decals, and photo etched brass parts I can get my hands on!
