These boxes located on the bulkheads in areas about the ship were electrical.
the round one was for the standard 100 volt plug and contained a water proof screw-off
cover. The rectangular box was also sealed with a watertight cover but was intended
for arc lamps as the polarity could not be switched on these by accidentey inserting
the plug upside down
