This is a round disk found on the poop deck over a compartment on C deck which contained racks to dry hemp hawsers. Though we can narrow it's identity down to two things : A brass cover for passing the hawser below, or a round deck mounted skylight; it's true identity is not confirmed at this time. In any case it's presence is seen on certain plans, and is a TRMA find. On the later Olympic, this disk was changed to a rounded cover that was raised and gave the appearance of an inverted bowl.
