PIPE FOR FIREPLACE |
This photo of the Olympic shows the flue pipe from the 1st class smoke room: The
only operational fireplace on the whole ship. This is the same configuration as
Titanic. the Olympic, however, initially had a stand pipe with a hinged flue and
vein. This was replaced to a ditrect feed to the base of the fourth funnel by
the 1912-13 refit.
