Why I like ocean liner models:

They're different! They're beautiful creations; and they're not ugly monochromatic gray hulks like most modern warships. This is especially true of the earlier liners from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of them had all of the grace of a clipper ship, but without all of that "laundry" hanging in the rigging ;-)
