  About me:

Modelers image

I received my first Titanic model when I was six. Only recently have I started building a new one, complete with photo-etch parts. In between, I've built the three Olympic-class ships, Lusitania and her two sisters, Carpathia, Californian, and Nomadic and Traffic out of wood, all to the same scale.

My other models include two 1:72 strategic bombers, two wooden Star Trek ships, and several kit-made ships. I also have completed two resin 1:144 MiG-31 Firefox models.

Why I like ocean liner models:

Tradition, mainly. It started with my first wooden model, followed immediately by a Revell 1:570 kit. Since then, my skills have improved, and after completing ten wooden scratch build models, I'm in the process of working on a 1:720 super detail Titanic. I guess it's something about their lines and appearance that I find appealing.
