Richard Herries Titanic Model

I have used the GMM fittings sets
and believe these are essential to achieve an accurate and lifelike look.
All the painting was done using hand brushes and Humbrol paints, with a fair
bit of mixing to achieve the right effect. For the sea and wake of the ship
I used 'Woodland Scenics' realistic water, and water effects (as used by railway
modellers) . The rigging presented the biggest challenge, as the plastic kit
masts were easily broken. I used a number of sizes of nylon fishing line,
but in the main dressmakers invisible nylon thread. I am still adding a few
finishing touches such as the deckchairs and GMM passengers and crew.
