Orland, Florida: 'TITANIC- THE EXHIBITION' |
Update added June 8th, 2002
Still working on the welldecks the crane jibs have been completed and attached to the cranes. The forward welldeck has received its covering on veneer. We used maple which was everso slightly darkened. The color is beautiful. The deck planks have the correct width of six inches (this goes for the welldecks only!). After this was done we started on the promenade deck walls. Some of the windows have been attached so we can see what they look like. In the meantime the inner strakes of the forward part of the Promenade deck walls have been attached. You cannot imagine the size of some of the windows in 1/48. The first class smoking room windows have yet to be painted of course. The resin cast electric winches can also be seen in some of the pics.
