Brown's Lighted 1:570 Titanic model Added on 10/30/2003 |
I have completed a 570 Revell Titanic for the purposes of advertising a soon-to-be-released, drop-in lighting circuit board. I had hoped to show what was possible by finishing that model almost "out of the box." I did open up the fore and aft well decks and bridge, add a few scratch-built details-- like the correct number of cowl vents on the poop deck and try out a new window-making scheme. I used small squares of masking tape to simulate doors and windows-- in mostly correct patterns-- painted over them and removed them to allow the internal lighting to penetrate the translucent styrene. And I did try to drill out all those portholes in the correct pattern. --Eliot
The natural lighting shot is the test shot of a morphing daylight/night shot for the web-site.
